Corrour and Glencoe, August 2014...

Once I returned from the Peak District I set off up to Scotland for a holiday and an opportunity to bag a few mountain days...

Whilst in Scotland I managed to bag a mountain day with Adam and also managed a long solo mountain day. During these two days I managed to tick off five new Munros.

Buachaille Etive Beag route profile and height gain
and distance covered...
First up was Buachaille Etive Beag on the 12 of August. Myself and Adam headed up to Glencoe and got on the Etive Beag ridge which contains two Munros. Stob Coire Raineach and Stob Dubh.

Distance: 7.6km.
Munros: Stob Coire Raineach (925 metres) and Stob Dubh (958 metres).
Height gain: 969 metres.







Next up was a long solo day up in the vastness of Rannoch moor. I started my trip at Corrour train station and managed to climb Carn Dearg, Sgor Gaibhre and Beinn na Lap before returning to the train station after 28km's of walking.


Distance: 28.2km.
Munros: Carn Dearg (941 metres), Sgor Gaibhre (955 metres) and Beinn na Lap (937 metres).
Height gain: 1,526 metres.
